Top Ten Tuesday-Book Characters I’d Love to Be Besties With

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This weeks topic is: Book Characters I’d Love to Be Besties With

This was a super fun one to do and I actually didn’t have that tough of time coming up with my 10 dream besties …. whoohoo!!

So lets dive right in to this list .. I actually wrote it in descending order. I had some fun 🙂

To start this off we have Jack and Annie (The Magic Treehouse Series) from a childhood favourite. I would have given anything to be their neighbor and going on some crazy adventures after school. The Imagination on these two must have been unreal.

The next character on this list is from a recent read Marlee (Intercepted By Alexa Martin), this girl took everything in stride and when all things feel to crap around her she still kept her friends and life like normal. This is something I strive to acheive …

Every list needs a fun one, for me this is that pick. Eeyore (Winnie The Pooh) is a character that I would love to have a bestie, no matter how crap your day is he will always be there to show you it could be worse.

My current read gives us the next character. Maggie (When You Were Mine By Lisa Swift), I am only 30% through this read and I would still love to hang with the main character daily. And who couldn’t use a relationship counselor as a bestie. lol

I am a sucker for a girl who is a real bada$$ and as we work our way through the rest of this list yo will for sure see that. Next up is Aria Stark (Game of Thrones); I am told that it might take someone like Aria to be my bestie, tough as nails and takes no crap.

We are officially half way through the list and in the middle of this dream bestie list is Lana (Year One By Nora Roberts). Lana is another fierce female character who takes no crap from anyone. She does what is need to protect her and her own.

Who doesn’t have my next pick on their list? I mean come on he is the dictionary definition of drean bestie. Magnus Bane (The Mortal Instruments Series), what I wouldn’t give to go to one of his raging parties.

Another girl for the list who throws herself into situations that most would shy away from. Sookie Stackhouse (The Sookie Stackhouse Series), this girl is again just what I want in a bestie. Someone who knows what they want and is not afraid to do what it takes to get it. And I mean having a friend who is part fairy could be fun.

Almost to my top pick, but for the runner up we have Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles). I warned you this list would be full of fierce ladies.

And finally the #1 gal I would love to have by my side while living my best life ….. Arianna Peterson (Wanted By Kelly Elliott). Arianna is my soul mate when it comes to dream besties. Anyone who knows me and has read this series would agree. Her personality is spot on with my IRL bestie. Also I am always recommending friends and family to read this series.. so I will recommend you do it too. GO NOW!

Well that is my list of dream besties, please let me know in the comments if there is anyone you would add or remove from this list ……

  1. So many great characters on your list! I don’t usually focus too much on the characters, I guess I get attached to them as I’m reading the book and then forget about them once the book is over 😀
I’d love to be friends with Newt Scamander ❤
